MWAHA is excited for another Girls hockey season in the MGHL (Midwest Girls Hockey League).  We will have league play at 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U/19U.

MGHL Opening Weekend:
October 11-13, 2024
Cedar Rapids, IA - ImOn Ice Arena
4 game guarantee for all age groups. These games will count towards league game minimums.

Championship Weekend:
March 14-16, 2024
Cedar Rapids, IA

Team Cost:
10U $1,650
12U $1,700
14U $2,050
16U/19U $2,500
Fee covers both Opening and Championship Weekends

$750 Deposit due by September 15th.  Pay deposit online during this registration OR mail check. 
Balance due by November 1st.   Teams will also have the options to pay full balance online at time of registration.

New Game Formats:
10U: 12 min periods, 1:00 Minor, 3:00 Major, 6:00 Misconduct/Match
12U: 13 min periods, 1:30 Minor, 4:00 Major, 8:00 Misconduct/Match
14U: 15 min periods, 1:30 Minor, 4:00 Major, 8:00 Misconduct/Match
16U/19U: 17 min periods, 2:00 Minor, 5:00 Major, 10:00 Misconduct/March

League Game Minimums:
All age groups will need to have 12 games or double the number of teams in the division, whichever is fewer.  If there are 4 teams in the division, it will be an 8 game minimum. If there are 8 teams in the division, 12 games minimum instead of 16. Games played during the season at tournaments can count towards league games as long as both teams agree before the game is played.
