Affiliate Members and Officers:

Volunteering at the Affiliate level is both challenging and rewarding.  Without individuals who are willing to put the whole Affiliate first and work to grow youth hockey in the Midwest we would be crippled as an organization.  Several of our members have dedicated decades to youth hockey, often without accolades, but with a deep desire to improve the enjoyment of this game we have learned to love.  We need more individuals like that.  Today I am casting the net out to look for three volunteers with significant roles in the Midwest Affiliate.

Several of our Executive board members will be up for reelection in June with nominations being accepted.  Along with those individuals we will need to elect a current need for Secretary.  This position is a voting position and a member of the Executive Committee.  The right individual will have organizational skills and be willing to provide at least a minimal separation from their current Association.

The other two positions are Appointments, but no lesser in importance.  After many years Scott Long is stepping aside as the Midwest League Travel Director.  This role becomes the cornerstone of our league in preparing for the end of year tournaments.  After several years as the Girl’s Director Kristi Francis is stepping down.  Kristi has done a magnificent job of helping the Affiliate grow girls hockey and leading us towards emphasis on development and growth.
