UPDATE March 31, 2023 from MWAHA President Shawn Spencer:
A recent social media post on the 18U Team Midwest Facebook page indicated the team should be considered dissolved and no furture try outs or games will be scheduled.  We need to inform everyone that the Midwest Affiliate Team will continue with tryouts and games.  In fact, the MWAHA plans to expand with a pilot for a broader range of teams to include younger players.  The 18U Team's success since it's inception in 2015 has helped lead to the expansion of teams that represent the MWAHA and launch an even broader pilot to include younger ages groups in the very near future.   I have made myself available to answer any questions, please reach out to me either by email or phone call.   Once all assignments are made, I look forward to the 18U Team Midwest staff reaching out to discuss their goalies and plans. shawn.l.spencer71@gmail.com

AMERICA'S SHOWCASE, 2023 TEAM MIDWEST HIGH SCHOOL TRYOUTS

2023 Team Midwest, America’s Showcase team will attend the America's Showcase in St. Louis, MO on April 19-24. 

America's Showcase was developed to provide the nation’s premier high school players an opportunity to be scouted by high-level programs so those players may further their hockey careers in prep school, juniors, college, and beyond.  Our five days packed with over 50 competitive hockey games gives the scouts on-hand (and watching online) plenty of opportunities to recruit from the wealth of talent on the ice.  The success of our event is ultimately measured by how many of those players can use America's Showcase as a springboard to a successful future in the upper echelon of hockey programs in North America.

Registration for Team Midwest tryouts is available through the Midwest Highschool Hockey League website.  Payment of $75 is due when you check in at the rink.  Try outs will be held on Saturday March 11th from 11:45-1:45pm and Sunday March 19th from 11:45-1:45pm at the Ames Ice Arena located at 1507 Gateway Hills Park Drive, Ames, Iowa 50014.  Team Midwest Showcase team is coached by P.K.
