Inaugural Midwest Girls Hockey League - Recap

The inaugural Midwest Girls Hockey League (MGHL) Championships were completed March 19-21, 2021 in Shawnee, KS.  10 teams competed in 3 divisions for the first MGHL titles. That’s over 125 girls representing their associations by playing all girls hockey!

The season kicked off last November with Omaha hosting a round robin event.  Finals weekend was another round robin with teams seeded for the Championship games. 

Here are the final results of the Midwest Girls Hockey League (MGHL) Championship March 19-21, 2021.

10U Winners
Champions – Quad City Ice Eagles
Runner Up – Omaha Lady Lancers
3rd Place – Kansas City Storm

12U Winners
Champions – Kansas City Storm
Runner Up – Des Moines Lady Wild
3rd Place – Iowa City Maidens of Mayhem

14U Winners
Champions – Kansas City Storm
Runner Up – Omaha Lady Lancers
