Congratulations to the Des Moines Jr. Buccaneers, the 2011 MHL Bantam AA Champions.  The Bantam AA division was a small, but very competitive division this year.  The Jr. Bucs persevered to claim the championship title.  The Omaha Jr. Lancers took Second Place.  I wish the best of luck to all of the teams as they round out their seasons and again, congratulations to the Des Moines Jr. Buccaneers Bantam AA team.

Congratulations to the Kansas City Stars, the 2011 MHL Peewee AA Champions.  Five of the finest Peewee teams in the Tri-State area met in Des Moines this weekend (Feb. 4-6) and battled it out to a championship game between the KC Stars and the Des Moines Jr. Bucs.  Through 5 games, the Stars remained unbeaten to claim the championship title with the Des Moines Jr. Buc’s finishing in Second Place.  I wish the best of luck to all of the teams as they round out their seasons and again, congratulations to the Kansas City Stars Peewee AA team.

Congratulations to the Omaha Jr. Lancers, the 2011 MHL Squirt AA Champions.  Five young and talented Squirt AA teams gathered in Omaha on Feb. 4-6 to compete for the Midwest Title.  I was in Omaha this weekend and had the pleasure of watching some of the games.  My hat is off to all of the coaches and players that competed in the championship weekend.  It’s a great group of teams.  The Jr. Lancers remained unbeaten through the 5 team Round Robin, claiming the Championship Title.  The Quad Cities’ Eagles earned a Second Place finish with a winning goal with 4 seconds left in their game against the KC Stars.  I wish the best of luck to all of the teams as they round out their seasons and again, congratulations to the Omaha Jr. Lancers Squirt AA team.
